Courses at Trinity are taught by faculty who are leaders in their fields, and offer small group tutorials, seminars and experiential learning opportunities in addition to lectures.

Following the CASA-Dublin orientation program, entitled Understanding Ireland , participants immerse themselves in regularly-offered Trinity College classes alongside full-degree Trinity students. Trinity has an extensive undergraduate course catalogue, with a diversity of course options available to CASA students that span a multitude of academic departments in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Health Sciences, and the Faculty of Engineering, Maths and Sciences. Students specify up to six departments (areas of study) in their application to Trinity from across all three faculties, and enrol in modules (classes) from those areas on arrival to Trinity.

The standard semester academic load at Trinity College Dublin is 30 ECTS credits, with most courses counting for either 5 or 10 ECTS credits. All CASA students must enroll in courses totaling a minimum of 30 ECTS credit per semester to receive full academic credit.
